Randy has been a lifelong investor (he bought a house with his first student loan while attending the University of Calgary) and decided 7 years ago to use his personal experience to assist others. He become licensed as an advisor in 2007 and gained his Exempt Market license in 2010.
Randy is a big believer in financial literacy. He teaches a course at Mount Royal University Investing in Real Estate, and he holds regular workshops on financial planning. He is also an active guest speaker on risk management for business. He feels that a well informed client helps create a long term relationship and that is the basis of his approach to customer service.
As a private equity specialist, Randy is careful to appreciate the financial situation of his clients. He tries to establish a personal connection with his clients and listens to discover their most pressing needs before he shares information about any products, concepts or strategies.
His clients enjoy his consultative approach and his patience. He refuses to rush his clients and will only engage in a transaction if the client is completely comfortable with their investment decision. His 35 years of investing experience allows him the ability to truly assist clients with their investment and retirement planning.
Randy is a Calgarian who lives with his wife and Abbey the busy border collie on a riverfront property in Bowness, in a house his family built themselves. He has two adult daughters. He loves to sing and play his guitar and his retirement plan is to record his own songs on a CD for his kids and grandkids. He loves to sit by the river and watch the wildlife along the Bow River. His favourite sight is watching the bald eagle that hunts regularly on the river.
