Dealing Representative Victoria, BC

Kate McMann began her career in the private marketplace in 2008 working as an advisor for a private commercial real estate investment firm. It didn't take her long to discover her passion for the client relationship aspect of the business, and in 2011 became an independent advisor to better serve her clients with a more investor aligned approach.

Kate partnered up with Sean McMann, founder of AIMS Investing and Insurance, a Victoria based financial education and advisory firm specializing in alternative investing in 2011. Together they also host a Meetup group, "Victoria Investors Education Forum", where they share their knowledge and experience with a group of like minded individuals and also bring in expert partners to provide education around many different types of investment options.

Kate aims to take investors fears, hesitations and disinterest with their investments away and get them excited and engaged in the process. She does this through education and involvement with investors, every step of the way. Kate believes an educated investor will be the most confident and most successful.

Kate has a particular passion for working with female clients. She knows it can sometimes be intimidating and uncomfortable for women to deal with male advisors. She finds when women are relaxed and are comfortable asking questions it can really be an empowering experience for them, and she loves to be a part of that! Investors alike, male and female, will tell you Kate is a pleasure to work with both on a personal and professional level.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Kate moved to Victoria to complete her Commerce Degree in Entrepreneurial Management at Royal Roads University. As a lover of the outdoors, hiking, running, surfing, it was an easy decision for her to stay in Victoria. Kate loves to cook and enjoys hosting friends and family for great food and of course good wine!
